Xenophobia In Science Fiction?

What is your definition of xenophobia, and how did the card activity make you think about your definition? What emotions can you assign or connect with the term and concept of xenophobia in Science Fiction? Please use the quote from your card in your response.   1. Fear of foreign people such as aliens. When people didn't look at my face, it made me feel like they didn't wanna see me. For me it is sad that people can fear foreign people.

  2. I would define Xenophobia others, that might be people, aliens, or just the unknown. The card activity just reinforced my definition. My emotions were really unsteady and uneasy. My card said ignore me, but I was trying to talk which made me not want to when I got ignored.

  3. Xenophobia is the fear of strange or foreign living thing and non-living things. The card active show me how people treat outsider even if they are other people with foreign things.

  4. My definition of xenophobia is the fear of strangers and foreigners, or of being the stranger/ foreigner. The card activity made me feel like the out cast, by not knowing what was going on. Xenophobia can be assigned with fear or uneasiness, because it is a phobia. One of my cards said argue with me, and when I tried to voice my opinion, I couldn't.

  5. I think that the definition of Xenophobia is the fear or the hatred of something or someone who differs from us in a number of ways. The card activity helped me in my conclusion because I had to treat and be treated like I was different witch was weird. I think that a lot of people would connect hate with xenophobia.

  8. Xenophobia is what you think and act towards others by the way you see them and it's the fear of things that are different which was shown in the card activity when everyone had different cards and everyone was acting different towards each other.

  9. xenophobia is the fear or hatred of unknown things. when people ignore me,i felt like i was being alienated and forgotten, it was an experience that had a lot of xenophobia in it.

  10. Xenophobia is the fear of things that are different from you or you don't know them well enough. The card activity made me think about it because when people were talking to me I didn't know what they were going to do whenever I said something. I can connect fear and uncertainty with it through Science Fiction.

  12. Xenophobia is the fear of change or anything that you are not familiar with. The card activity showed the judgment of people and how they are treated because of it.
