  1. What I got out of the presentation was not as much on the idea of academics, but more towards life after and outside of that. This video to me is all about inspiration and making possible what someone would doubt. Which has a direct connection to science fiction, because every story written is essentially made of doubts becoming a possible reality. But I see this connection as more applicable to life rather than school. I believe so because this inspiration will drive you to make something better of your life and lead you to new, undiscovered grounds that cant even be touched by many minds.
It did make me look twice to truly believe what I saw, because it's an idea I would never even conceive to be possible without the proof sitting in front of me. Watching something as unbelievable like this is so awe inspiring it seems to spark something inside, making me want to achieve something completely bogus and fantastical. It's definitely worth a second look every time.

  3. The video to me says there is nothing better than doing what you love in your home town.Doing your dream is the best thing you can do for yourself, and science fiction is what people love to write about. it is the writers dream to create a story. this little clip should inspire us all to do what we love best.

  5. What I got out of the video was that you have to work for what you love to do. You may love to do something that you are not naturally gifted at but with work you can achieve whatever you want to do.

  6. He motivated me because I have the same chance he did, I could learn these things (even though its unlikely and near impossible)I have the same chance. He shows how if you put your mind (and body with practice) you can do what you think you cant.

  7. This video showed me that you really can do anything you set your mind to with a little determination and commitment to the task you wish to achieve. It connects with my academic endeavors by inspiring me to keep trying even when I'm extremely frustrated with an assignment or a concept. I really enjoyed watching this video, and it taught me many important things.

  11. I was not in class Friday, and therefore did not get to see the video or participate in the class discussion. I did ask some people about the video and what it was about. Based off of their varied synopses', I think the message of the video is to always follow your passion.

  12. Danny’s talent with his bike was incredible, and I loved how the video incorporated the beauty of nature as well as the industrial world. It is easy to dismiss this kind of talent, saying that I would never be able to do that. But that is the wrong mind set. Danny would never have gone as far as he did if he doubted himself. Five years ago, I never would have said that I would be a black belt, but I completed my training and received my black belt over a year ago. Starting college next year at a young age, I know that I will excel and continue to grow personally and academically.

  13. After watching Danny's bike riding skills it showed me that if you want something you can get. I think that it shows you need to plan out your steps towrds your goal and fallow them and you can do it. After learing that he didn't know how to ride a bike it is even more inspirational because he put his mind to it and achived it. I am a swimmer and seeing that showed me that with lots of practice and the motivation to do better I can achive my goals.

  14. Danny's ability with his bike made me think that even though something seems difficult and takes a lot of practice. Anybody can do it and that all you have to do is try because if you truly love it, it won't seem like work but it will seem as fun.

  15. Danny McCaskill presentation relates to my world because it really shows him doing things that you wouldn't think is possable. I think his new exploits can be related to accedemic behavior because it shows if you can work hard at what interests you, you can accomplish the goals you want to succeed. This video didn't necesserily inspire me but it showed me what can happen if people work hard and push to where they want to go.

  16. I thought it was amazing how this man had such control of his body, and his bike. It was like all he had to do was think it, and his bike did it. It shows that with practice and a strong effort, anything can be accomplished. I think that people just lack the effort to try sometimes. If you try you can accomplish more than you think.
