I dont think it connects to academic endevers because its like if your really good at one subject but you dont share your gifts with anybody else. I did not look twice with all the X games and current tv coverage of extreme sports what he was doing was amazing but did not stand out to me. I was not motivated or inspired by the video because I feel like he should be making money with his talents as well as enjoying the sport. I agree with the idea that at the beginning of the film he fell down but then he just got back up and corrected his mistakes. I think that in an academic sense it could mean that perhaps you fail or mess something up, but in the end if you go back and fix your mistakes you can not only correct them and other similar errors, but you can master what it is you’re trying to fix. I’m sure he didn’t learn all of those tricks over night. It was probably just something that interested him and as time went by he found ways to incorporate what he wanted to do into something that he loved. He may or may not have gotten the support that he felt he deserved but he was still able to do what he wanted based on his own will power. I think that anyone can achieve something like this as long as you put your mind to it. Most of our personal battles come from what we allow ourselves to believe or think. A lot of it has to do with how you perceive yourself. If you feel that you are always going to mess up and that you will always fail then you will. But if you learn from your mistakes and strive to do better, then you will. Most of the challenges we face come from our mind and so if we allow our thinking to be positive and strong then we can pretty much achieve and accomplish anything.ashleighmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13715673083803069880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-27249568751456882942010-01-10T23:18:40.410-07:002010-01-10T23:18:40.410-07:00I have to admit, this Inspired Bicycles video amaz...I have to admit, this Inspired Bicycles video amazed me quite a bit. That bike rider is very good at what he does. And this video made me think. It made me think about my life and what I was striving for. I feel that if you truly love something, then you will succeed with it. This statement is true for this video. I'll bet that he practices every day and is happy with his life. And you have to think, where do people, like him, get the motivation to do something as incredible as that? That just shows that we as people are capable of amazing things if we just put our mind to it. And that gives me hope, knowing that I am just as capable to do phenomenal things with my life.SilkenKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14179594082089674480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-83280450433254804692010-01-10T22:33:33.738-07:002010-01-10T22:33:33.738-07:00the rider in this video is very inspiring even whe...the rider in this video is very inspiring even when he falls down he gets right back up and tries something just as hard if not harder it helps me realize no one’s perfect but if you work hard you can succeedjake a.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15477832057245835914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-71784600263194790092010-01-10T20:34:20.543-07:002010-01-10T20:34:20.543-07:00This was the second time I have seen it. Just by watching it you know that it takes a lot of hard work to do what he does, and of course this applies to school. For me this helps me know that if I do work hard I can do really well in school, and with this being my last semester I know that I still need to work hard. I will always keep this in mind thoughout the year so when I start to think I can slack off I will actually keep working hard and finish up the school year strong.Jason Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01903124150301249606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-51792639893240581822010-01-10T20:10:41.411-07:002010-01-10T20:10:41.411-07:00The inspired bicycle guy was awesome! As part of the 21st century our population doesn't know what it really looks like to keep doing something until we find a solution. Often times we give up before truly achieving our goals, merely because we are afraid of failure or getting hurt. The bicyclist was willing to endure the pain and the embarrassment every time that he attempted to ride his bike down the fence like a tight rope. I think this is a virtue that we can all apply to our lives. Each of us can find one thing in our lives that we keep working on until we have reached the desired ending.Niki Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12631562710774293985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-83015318512934174472010-01-10T19:10:16.067-07:002010-01-10T19:10:16.067-07:00I think that this guy is pretty amazing. The style and willingness to be at risk of Macaskill are why he stands out as a cyclist. The terrain and objects he chose to conquer were different. Macaskill isn't afraid to stray from the norm; so he isn't seen as just another cyclist. I have an obscure approach at note and test taking, but it's my way. This is similar to Macaskill in the sense that it doesn't matter how you do something, it's how the result looks. I didn't see the potential that Macaskill was able to envision on several of the objects that he was able to perform tricks on, so the presentation definitely made me look twice. It was actually quite intriguing because Macaskill was able to find a way to revive the exciting nature of cycling that was lost long ago. Who knows what other nuances in style could do to other sports? From a candid perspective, very little significance can be taken from this presentation. But with a more introspective view of this film, there are quite a few important lessons that can be taken from viewing Inspired Bicycles.AndrewAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11400165431024365822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-71073707312180871292010-01-10T18:25:11.127-07:002010-01-10T18:25:11.127-07:00I have never seen anything like what this man does...I have never seen anything like what this man does on his bike; it's amazing. He is living proof that what we think could be impossible can become possible. Also, as he completes all of his tricks, I could tell that he was loving every minute of what he was doing. I wish that I knew what I loved to do like him. I continue to look and learn, yet I cannot see one thing that I could do for the rest of my life. The determination to keep on trying seems invigorating and I would love to experience that feeling in my life. Is it possible that everyone has something, like him riding his bike, in their life? I also think that it's interesting how he gave up a possible future of a stable job and continued to work on something that had no guarantees of panning out. I wonder if it'd be worth it to take that chance or not.Kjerstinlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10183272936879834163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-29653717855104188022010-01-10T17:03:45.376-07:002010-01-10T17:03:45.376-07:00The inspired bicycles video does not quite relate ...The inspired bicycles video does not quite relate to my world, because I am not athletic and I don't have the guts to pull off something that dangerous. I think about the goals he has and I'm not sure he has ever set a goal to do something that he didn't fully believe he could achieve. I think just by his body language that if there is a challenge for him he views it as something to do because he thinks and kind of prooves he can do anything on a bike. I think if we all had that outlook on life then we could be alot more succesful. Also though his tricks and stuff he knows he can do, it only takes one tiny mishap for him to be fatally hurt. I think that is true in life as well but it might not be a physical injury, but you can't be afraid of getting hurt mentally or physically.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7398363838263714607.post-27147901363316604842010-01-10T15:33:04.808-07:002010-01-10T15:33:04.808-07:00Wow. That’s what I find my self doing sometimes when I fall off I get right back on and keep on striving for that goal.
